The National Coordinator Tinubu 2023 Not Negotiable (TNN 2023) Hon Mutiu Kunle Okunola (MKO) was on Wednesday installed as the Jagun Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba-Land by the Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba-Land Iba Gani Ige Adams.
The elaborate event took place at the 10 Degrees Events Centre, Billings’s way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
An elated Chief Okunola while speaking to media men shortly after the installation expressed his immense gratitude to God for the privilege and opportunity to attain the illustrious position.
He also expressed his appreciation to Iba Gani Adams for finding him worthy and installed as the Jagun Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba-Land.
On how he hope to use his new position for the betterment of the Yoruba race and Nigeria in general, he stated that “we Yoruba people need to come together and make ourselves one indivisible people”.
“I believe so much in the unity of Nigeria so I have started mobilising and supporting Nigerians irrespective of tribes or culture ditto political inclination for the peaceful coexistence and unity of Nigeria”.
“We will continue to support using political solution to solve other hydra-headed problems. For example; power rotation is a binding force, it gives us all sense of belonging in the nation Nigeria”.
“That is why I have started a movement to promote the unity of Nigeria and foster peace amongst us all”.
“We have started going round Nigeria to sensitise Nigerians on reason for unity and peaceful Nigeria”.
“On that premise we have identified and captioned our ideals and believes with the progressive ideological principle of a statesman with an exemplary distinguished achiever, former governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
“If power rotate today back to the south the most qualified person for the President of Nigeria is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and we at TNN 2023 will transmit this fact across the length and breadth of this great nation”.
On the issue of the Federal Government’s outlawed Amotekun Vigilante group initiated by the southwest Governors, the new Jagun Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba-Land swiftly responded “Amotekun is a good development”.
He asserted that “the northern Nigeria already have the JTF, same vigilante group as Amotekun, so why banning the same thing coming from the southwest”? He queried.
“The moment we setup our own vigilante group it became an issue. To me it’s an indication of how relevant of the Yoruba people vis-a-vis the leadership”.
“We are going back to the drawing board to dispel the erroneous notion against the outfit”.
“Amotekun issue will be resolved because we need to improve on our security network. Even the herdsmen will also be secured by Amotekuns from rustlers and other criminals” he alluded.
The newly installed Jagun Aare Onakakanfo after the installation ceremony hosted family, friends and other well-wishers wish included members of the TNN 2023 Group form various states in a reception at his Guestimate Hotel at Olusosun-Oregun where Fuji Musician Abass Akande Obesere dished out melodious songs to the cheering audience.
