The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Retail Ltd has terminated the services of a pump attendant and suspended a Station Manager for attempting to defraud a customer at its Ikorodu, Lagos State station.
The NNPC Ltd. issued a statement on Friday, noting that it had become aware of a video circulating on social media platforms showing a pump attendant at a filling station attempting to cheat a customer.
According to the report, a comprehensive investigation revealed the incident originated from a station in Ikorodu, Lagos.
“The NNPC Retail Limited wishes to state categorically that such behaviour is unacceptable and does not reflect the company’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and exceptional customer service.
“In response to this incident, NNPC Retail Limited has taken the following decisive actions in line with its sanction grid.
“The pump attendant involved has been disengaged. The Station Manager has been suspended.
“A formal warning letter has been issued to the dealer,” the company said.
The company appreciates public vigilance and invites reports of incidents through customer service numbers and email, accessible at all stations, to ensure immediate attention and action.
The company further assured all its customers that it will continue to strictly enforce compliance with operational standards across its network of filling stations.
