The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD), Hon. Wahab Akanni Owokoniran, has pledged his commitment to professionalism, ethical standards, and national development following his induction as a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
Hon. Owokoniran made the pledge while delivering a goodwill message on behalf of newly inducted members at the induction ceremony held on Tuesday, December 17, 2025, at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Addressing the President and Chairman of Council, the Registrar, and members of the Institute, Owokoniran expressed pride and gratitude on behalf of the inductees for their admission into the prestigious professional body.
“We are proud and honoured to be admitted into this highly respected Chartered Institute,” he said. “We sincerely appreciate the leadership and members of the Nigerian Institute of Management for this recognition and for their unwavering commitment to high standards, professionalism, and ethical excellence.”
He assured the Institute of the inductees’ dedication to its core values, code of conduct, and objectives, noting that membership comes with a responsibility to contribute positively to management practice and national growth.
“We pledge our full commitment to the values and code of conduct of the Institute, and we look forward to contributing meaningfully to the advancement of management practice and national development,” Owokoniran stated.
He concluded his remarks by thanking the Institute and offering prayers for its continued success, saying, “Thank you, and God bless the Nigerian Institute of Management.”
The induction ceremony brought together professionals from various sectors, reaffirming the Institute’s role in promoting excellence in management and leadership across Nigeria.
