President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris for a private working lunch aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and France.
The engagement, which took place behind closed doors, focused on deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including economic reforms, security, energy transition, and investment opportunities.
Tinubu’s administration has been courting stronger global partnerships to bolster Nigeria’s economy and attract foreign direct investment, while Macron has consistently positioned France as a strategic ally to African nations in tackling security challenges and promoting sustainable development.
