Massive turnout as APC Onigbongbo showcases sole female Councillorship candidate at Oregun Ward E rally 

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Onigbongbo LCDA, witnessed a massive turnout during a campaign rally held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Oregun Ward E, where the sole female Councillorship candidate in the Council Hon Yussuf Kadijat Kuburat, was unveiled.

With Campaign Director-General Hon Sulaiman Onifitila and LGA Party Chairperson Alhaja Iyabode Akerele at the helm, the campaign team featured APC Chairmanship Candidate Hon Moyosore Adebanjo, his Vice Hon Shamsideen Oloyede, Ward E Oregun Councilorship candidate Hon Yussuf Kadijat Kuburat, and five other Councilorship candidates who conducted a walk-through in and out of Oregun communities.

The Campaign team began their visit at the Palace of Eze Ndigbo APC Ikeja, where Eze Uche Dimgba welcomed them with open arms and a royal blessing, which included breaking a kolanut and offering prayers.May be an image of 8 people and text

He assured them of his full support, promising to mobilize all Ndigbo to vote for APC on Saturday, 12th July 2025.May be an image of 6 people, people smiling and text

Hon. Moyo Adebanjo, the party’s Chairmanship candidate, expressed his gratitude to the Ndigbo for their cooperation and pledged to address their immediate concerns, especially the flooding issue in Julie Estate, Oregun ward E, if elected.

Thereafter, the team proceeded to the Palace of Olu of Oregun HRM Oba (Dr) Olusesan Olukunmi Akingbola, where they were bestowed with his royal blessings and prayers in preparation for Saturday’s election.

The final point of convergence was Olarenwaju Street, which played host to a reception for the team, with notable attendees including Party leaders within the Onigbongbo LCDA, led by Chairperson Alhaja Iyabode Akerele, Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Ikeja Constituency 1, Hon Seyi Lawal, both former and present Onigbongbo legislative council members, and Party faithful.

Chairperson Alhaja Akerele addressed the gathering, urging supporters to engage in house-to-house canvassing and vote for all APC candidates this Saturday.

Hon. Moyo Adebanjo requested support and votes for all APC candidates.

He commended his predecessor’s efforts and vowed to continue and improve on the achievements.

Honorable Kadijat Kuburat Yussuf, the female Councillorship candidate in the Onigbongbo LCDA, stated that while victory is assured on Saturday, efforts to secure additional votes will not be relinquished.
