Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has congratulated his Osun State counterpart, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election for another four-year term in office.
Makinde, in a message posted on his X account on Sunday morning, said the outcome of Saturday’s governorship election reflected the will of the people of Osun State.
“Hearty congratulations to my brother, His Excellency Ademola @AAdeleke_01 on his reelection as Governor of Osun State. Adeleke of the Accord Party defeated his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to secure a second term as governor of the South-West state.
According to the Returning Officer for the election, Joshua Ogunwole, who declared the results at the INEC Collation Centre in Osogbo, Adeleke polled 511,067 votes.Oyebamiji scored 444,815 votes, while Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) came third with 17,180 votes.
