Lagos State Government has endorsed the hosting of ‘Prostreetsnooker’ Runway Fashion Show Y2021, slated for 6th June, 2021, at Blue Roof, LTV Complex, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Princess Adenike Adedoyin-Ajayi, said that the endorsement is in line with the mandate of the Ministry to encourage initiatives that would further project Lagos as the preferred destination for Tourism, Arts and Culture in Africa.
Princess Adedoyin-Ajayi described the idea behind the event as a right step in the right direction, saying that the Runway Fashion will support young and vibrant Fashion Entrepreneurs and will also promote both upcoming and established fashion houses/brands in Lagos State.
On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Prostreetsnooker, Mr. Yemi Ogunleye, explained that the Runway Fashion Show with the theme “Green Lagos”, is aimed at promoting Unity and Diversity in Lagos State, Nigeria and would showcase 10 fashion houses and 10 models on a single stage.
He stated that the Runway Show will display unique and trendy styles in different African attires, saying “These styles and more will be exhibited in order to give the attendees an opportunity of experiencing the Nigerian-African Fashion brilliance”.
Ogunleye called for a deliberate involvement of all relevant stakeholders in the State and Nigerians in the preservation of the Nation’s fashion wealth and heritage, adding that the event will also witness side attractions, including music performances by upcoming and A-rated artists in the entertainment industry.
