LASCON conducts Entrance Exams for Y2021 Academic Session

No fewer than 1,632 candidates sat for the Y2021 academic session entrance examination into the Department of Nursing, Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando, held at the Computer-Based Centre (CBT), Lagos State University, Ojo, on Saturday.

Addressing candidates before commencement of the examination, the Provost of the College, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga, explained the need for the candidates to conduct themselves responsibly, urging them to be mindful that the examination leads to a professional course that deals with the sanctity of human life.

She stated that the admission would strictly be on merit, advising the candidates to ensure good performance in the various subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in addition to English and Mathematics.

While emphasising that only successful candidates would be shortlisted for the oral interview, Orenuga reminded the participants to remain cautious about the new and more dangerous variant of the global pandemic in the State, hence, the need to continue using their nose masks, maintaining physical distance, regular hand washing and use of hand sanitisers to avoid contacting the disease.

The examination was monitored by representatives from the Office of the Director of Nursing Services, Lagos State Ministry of Health (MOH), Health Service Commission (HSC) and Alimosho General Hospital.

Recall that the sale of forms into the department of Nursing, Lagos State College of Nursing commenced on the 6th of May and closed on the 11th of June, 2021.
