Effort towards road network and development continues as the Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu on Monday, 26th April, 2021, flagged off the construction of Ajakaiye street, Ira quatres, Ojo, Lagos.

Ajakaiye street flag-off ought to have commence since January but was postponed, despite its contractual performance and stoppage due to the 2021 appropriation bill passage. It is one of the strategic roads located off Ariyo street, Ira which serves cogent alternative road network from the busy Olojo drive and the under-construction Badagry expressway, links Olugbemi Estate and Agric bus stop, Ojo, Lagos.
The council Chairman, in his opening remarks, intimates people of the necessity of the construction flag-off as part of his administrative efforts to cushion the transportation stress of commuting around Ojo and environment.

Speaking further, Alhaji Rasulu said the construction would be carried out by Truimphant Project Contractor. Mobilized within the duration of six months (January-June) as scheduled; he assured the communities of quality assurance and speedy delivery of the road and advocates for cooperation with the construction company within its contractual period.
His speech, “Today is another demonstration of undiluted commitment of this administration towards mitigation against poor road network and welfare development of our people. It has become very imperative as this administration will continue to give priority to road construction as booster to people’s welfare and economic development in Ojo Local Government area of Lagos State.
“It’s our vow as your humble servant and we will continue to uphold your trust in high esteem.” Said *Hon. Rasulu.*
