To God be the glory for great things He has done. With a grateful heart, I want to express my heart felt gratitude to Almighty God for His mercies unto us all for witnessing today.
Firstly, I must sincerely appreciate our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu, whom we all know as a hardworking Governor, and whose leadership has provided a good example for us all to emulate in the state. His initiative has taken governance to the doorstep of the people.
I want to express my gratitude to the political leaders, political class, the traditional leaders, market men/woman, the youth, religious leaders, CDC/CDA, and entire good people of Lagos Mainland for always standing by us and trusting that this administration will be a remarkable one. We shall not let you down and shall continue to fulfill all our promises by ensuring that we deliver our electoral promises in line with the dictates of our party, the All Progressives Party.
It is a wonderful experience for us today, as we gather on this special occasion of inauguration/swearing–in of the secretary to the Local Government, Supervisors, and special Advisers to the Local Government.
This marks the beginning of a new era, an era of a new expectation for the good people of Mainland. The cabinet members shall perform their functions in accordance to the administrative guidelines and procedure of LAGOS State House of Assembly.
I wish to enjoy the cabinet members to work with the Legislative arm and Management team in achieving a common goal. You are the people’s representative and your duty is to represent them well.
However, this Administration will give a listening ear to the communities. We therefore, implore the CDC and CDA to see the council as your friends, this will allow us to address the actual needs and challenges of the people in terms of infrastructural development.
Our vision is to build a virile, viable, model and mega Local Government committed to promoting developmental and peoples’ oriented policies that supports productive activities. We are equally committed to human capital development, socio-economic and infrastructural growth in partnership with all key stakeholders.
The Excos, Legislators and management team will work tirelessly to ensure good road and infrastructures, quality education, health care services delivery, security, environment services, and poverty alleviation.
With God on our side we shall fulfill on our campaign promises. May God give us the means, strength and wisdom to be able to execute all our programs.
