The All Progressives Congress ( APC) Ikeja chapter has formally presented flags to the six Ward’s Councillorship flagbearers in a ceremony at the Soji Adepegba close on Thursday.
The well attended event commenced with a rally possession from Dipeolu street to Allen and terminated at the residence of the APC Southwest Women Leader and member of Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson on Soji Adepegba close.
The APC Vice-Chairman Lagos West, Chief Funso Ologunde, LGA Chairman Alhaji Dally Adeokun, and the Executive Chairman Ikeja Local Government, Dr. Mojeed Balogun led the possession
The ward A councillorship flagbearer Comrade Olaniyi Olowolagba was presented by Dr. Mojeed Balogun and Ward B candidate, Hon Idris Hassan who is seeking a second term.
Others are the Deputy Leader of the Ikeja Legislative Council representing Ward C Hon Ayotunde Adenuga. While for ward D is Hon Benjamin Osundairo also seeking a second term.
Ward E flagbearer Ganiyu Saibu who is a first-timer was presented by Chief Ologunde and Ward F candidate, Hon Nurudeen Basheer whose ward Leader, the pioneer Executive Chairman Ikeja Local Government Mayor Alani Okikioposu presented him with the flag.
The LGA Chairman Alhaji Dally Adeokun urged party members to work for the success of the party on Saturday
Chief Ologunde also advised that all campaigns should end on Thursday according to the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
The Executive Chairman Ikeja Local Government Dr. Mojeed Balogun expressed his optimism for victory in the Saturday Council Election.
He averred that his first term achievements and massive supports of both party leaders and the good people of Ikeja will ensure victory for all the APC candidates on Saturday.
