Lagos Assembly Deputy Majority Leader, Kasunmu loses father

The Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Member representing Ikeja Constituency II, Hon Adedamola Richard Kasunmu has lost his father and patriarch of Kasunmu Family, High Chief Adekunle Olaosebikan Kasunmu at the age of 75 years.

The Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and Member representing Ikeja Constituency II, Hon Adedamola Richard Kasunmu has lost his father and patriarch of Kasunmu Family, High Chief Adekunle Olaosebikan Kasunmu at the age of 75 years.

This was announced in a media release by the Office of The Deputy Majority Leader made available to Lagos Panorama on Friday night.

CALL TO GLORY

With gratitude to God for a life well spent and in total submission to the Will of the Almighty, the KASUNMU FAMILY OF ONILEGBALE RULING HOUSE OF LAGOS & THE IPORO AKE/COKER FAMILY OF ABEOKUTA announce the passing away of our patriarch, HIGH CHIEF ADEKUNLE OLAOSEBIKAN KASUNMU who transited to glory in the early hours of today Friday 10th May 2024 after a brief illness.

During his lifetime, Papa was a Civil Engineer by profession and retired Naval officer who served in the Nigeria Navy meritoriously before going into full business after his retirement many years back. He was also an astute political leader.

He held the chieftaincy titles of Amoye Ilu of Lagos, Akeweje of Egbaland, Ikuku Mmirin of Abia among others.

He passed away at the age of 75 and is survived by his eldest Son, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) who is the Deputy Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Ikeja Constituency 2, other

children, grandchildren and his Wife as well as his only surviving sister, UGOMA Olubunmi Anyaoku (wife of Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Secretary General of Commonwealth and the ADAZE of Obosi.) and Daughter-in-Law, Princess (Mrs) Morenike Esther Kasunmu.

Burial arrangements will be announced in due course by the family.
