The Lagos State Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and respected GAC Leader, Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, has demonstrated her unwavering commitment to women’s political advancement by convening a high-level APC Women Summit in Lagos State.
The summit’s theme, Politics is Not for the Boys, Women Don’t Wait for Power, They Take It, served as a call to action for women across the state to rise, organize, and position themselves strategically for greater inclusion in governance and leadership.
With a focus on the 2027 political agenda, Hon. Okoya-Thomas emphasized the importance of mobilizing and grooming women, particularly from the age of 17, to become active participants and stakeholders in the democratic process.
Her message of “mobilizing one LGA, one sister at a time” reflects a deliberate and structured approach to strengthening the grassroots base of the APC while ensuring women’s voices remain central in decision-making platforms.
The initiative builds upon the APC’s successes in Lagos and showcases Hon. Okoya-Thomas’ key role in fostering unity, providing mentorship, and mobilizing women in politics, ultimately establishing the Lagos APC women as a cohesive and influential force in sustaining the party’s dominance and directing the state’s and nation’s political future.
