The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has embarked on an extensive mobilization drive to encourage eligible residents across the state to participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being implemented by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to a press release issued on Monday by Mogaji Seye Oluseye, Spokesperson of the party, “The Lagos APC has directed all ward and local government leaders to immediately begin community-level mobilization to ensure that every eligible voter—especially first-time registrants, youths, and those who have relocated—is captured in the current voter registration exercise, in line with the party’s commitment to deepening democratic participation and consolidating its grassroots strength.”
Oladejo explained that the mobilisation strategy involves Intensive Grassroots Sensitisation, indicating that ward chairmen and LGA party structures have been activated to carry out door-to-door campaigns and organise community sensitisation sessions.
He also mentioned that the party has launched a targeted digital campaign to reach young and tech-savvy voters through social media platforms and digital forums, highlighting that in select LGAs, logistical support is being provided to assist voters—especially the elderly and people residing in riverine or hard-to-reach areas—to access designated INEC registration centres.
Oladejo pointed out that elected officials, political appointees, and community leaders are playing a key role in the mobilisation drive, highlighting the importance of voter registration as a civic responsibility and a tool for political empowerment.
He underscored that securing a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) is the first step towards maintaining the progress made in Lagos State and guaranteeing the continuity of good governance.
He therefore urges all members, supporters, and the general public to utilize the CVR window and register, “This is not merely a party affair—it is about the future of our democracy. Every vote counts, and every voice matters. We must ensure that all our people are empowered to participate fully in the democratic process,” he affirmed.
