The Managing Director, Lagos Ferry Services Company, Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship Member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN).

Balogun became an Associate Member in 2004 and rose steadily through studies and practices to Full Membership status in 2008. Today, 10th day of November 2020, he earned the Fellowship Member of the Institute.
The NIMN is the only authentic body for marketing professionals engaged in marketing and related fields with the responsibility to regulate and standardize marketing professional practice in Nigeria.
Hon. Balogun, a native of Ilorin, Kwara State was born in Ajegunle, Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State, forty five years ago.
He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics from the Lagos State University (LASU), PGD in Marketing from International Academy of Marketing, Masters in Business Administration from LASU and MBA degree in Leadership and Sustainability.
He is a member of various professional bodies which includes – Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria; Professional Member of the Certified Marketing Communication Institute of Nigeria and Professional Member of the Global Marketing Network, United Kingdom. He is also a graduate of Entrepreneurship from the FATE Foundation School of Entrepreneurship.
He is a strategic, articulate and multi-faceted Public Servant and shrewd C-Level Executive. A results-oriented and decisive leader with a proven ability to revitalize organizations, initiate company-wide campaigns, and capture untapped opportunities for growth. Astute and full of integrity; leveraging technical, business and financial acumen to increase sales and grow bottom line while spearheading operational improvements to drive productivity and reduce costs. He has demonstrated proven skills and expertise in turning around lagging operations and preparing companies for fast growth and profitability. Customer-focused, creative problem-solver and change consultant with team leadership attributes, and multi-cultural relationship-building skills.
As a professional with rich experiences in the private sector and community development, Hon. Balogun was elected as an Honourable Member of Parliament, to represent Ajeromi – Ifelodun Constituency 02 at the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2011 where he served on the House Standing Committees on Finance, Environment, Agriculture, Rural Development. He was a member of the Ad-hoc Committee for Constitutional Amendments which drafted the famous ‘LAGOS POSITION’ in 2014.
As a performing legislator, Hon. Balogun was the lead sponsor of the iconic – Health Insurance bill, fashioned after the famous Obamacare, which gave birth to Lagos State Health Management Agency.
Being a Sports Enthusiast and Promoter, he organizes the successful annual Festival of Football Academies – LEG LAGOS CHALLENGE and sits on the board of Lagos State Boxing Association.
Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun was the Founding Director of non-profit policy think-tank, THE ECONOMIC CLUB, NIGERIA and Co-Founder of a democratic and parliamentarian watchdog, LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY and IMPACT FACULTY. He is the President of ‘BAQI FOUNDATION, a non-government organization.
He is currently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lagos Ferry Services Company.
