Suleiman Isah, a Kano man who married an American citizen, Janine Reimann, has joined the US Army.
On December 13, 2020, Mr Isah, who was then 23 years old, got married to Ms Reiman, 46.
The two lovebirds reportedly met on social media platform Instagram 10 months before their wedding.
Ms Reiman, a chef based in Lindon, California, subsequently flew into Nigeria for the wedding ceremony.
The wedding, which took place at Barracks Mosque Panshekara, was attended by many well-wishers, including a former senator representing Kaduna Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani.
Taking to his Facebook page, on Friday, Mr Suleiman posted a portrait picture of himself wearing the uniform of the US Army.
He attached the picture with a caption saying, “Alhamdullillah- forever grateful”.
His friends and well-wishers therefore flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.
