As the All Progressives Congress (APC) commences its campaign for the 2027 presidential election, the Lagos State chapter has declared its readiness to provide the grassroots mobilisation and electoral strength required to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party.
In a statement signed by Ayaba Omobola Nowoola-Akingbehin, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Lagos State APC Chairman, the party said it has continued to strengthen its structures, mobilise its members and deepen grassroots engagement across the state in preparation for the elections.
Under the leadership of Lagos State APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, the party has sustained ward meetings, stakeholder engagements and mobilisation activities across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas.
Women’s organisations, youth groups, market associations, community leaders, artisans and other critical stakeholders have also remained actively engaged as part of the party’s strategy to broaden participation and consolidate its grassroots support base.
In Lagos, the APC is expected to campaign on the visible impact of ongoing development projects across the state, including the operational Lagos Blue Line and Red Line rail projects, road construction and rehabilitation, urban renewal, human capital development and other initiatives aimed at improving residents’ quality of life.
At the federal level, the party will highlight the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Administration, particularly its economic reforms and investments in infrastructure, transportation, education, healthcare, agriculture and social development.
The administration’s infrastructure programme includes major projects such as the 1,068-kilometre superhighway, the 750-kilometre Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, the 114.5-kilometre Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode Road, the 465-kilometre Calabar-Abuja Superhighway, the 700-kilometre Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe-Biu-Maiduguri Superhighway and the 275-kilometre Sokoto-Gusau-Funtua-Zaria Road.
The Lagos APC said the projects are designed to improve connectivity, integrate regional economies and stimulate economic activities across the country.
The party also highlighted the administration’s efforts to attract investment, strengthen Nigeria’s economic position and create an enabling environment for businesses to grow and generate employment opportunities.
According to the party, these initiatives form part of the broader Renewed Hope Agenda focused on economic reform, infrastructure development, human capital investment and national renewal.
With the commencement of the 2027 presidential campaign, Lagos APC said it would take the message of the administration’s policies and achievements directly to the people.
“Every ward, every Local Government Area, every community and every polling unit will be engaged,” the party said, stressing that its objective is to connect governance with the people and translate its grassroots organisation into electoral strength.
For Lagos APC, the 2027 presidential campaign is more than the beginning of another election cycle. It is an opportunity to consolidate the gains of the APC, strengthen the Renewed Hope mandate and mobilise Nigerians for continuity.
With its grassroots structure, experienced leadership and network of stakeholders across the state, Lagos APC said it is fully prepared for the task ahead.
From Lagos, we are ready.
The foundation is firm.
The structure is standing.
The campaign has begun.
The mobilisation has begun.
The engagement has begun.
THE JOURNEY TO VICTORY HAS BEGUN.
LAGOS APC IS READY!
