Jakande Hosts Deputy Governor on Condolence Visit to Family of Late Prince Bayo Osiyemi

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Kadiri Hamzat, on Wednesday, December 3, paid a condolence visit to the residence of the late Prince Bayo Osiyemi, following his recent passing. He was received by the Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Seyi Jakande, represented by his team which included the Vice Chairman, Hon. Niyi Awodogan; the Chief of Staff; and Councillors led by their Leader, Hon. Lekan Adeyi.

The visit was aimed at consoling the bereaved family and honouring the enduring legacy of Prince Osiyemi, a respected community leader and public communicator.

In his remarks, Dr. Hamzat described the late Osiyemi as a dedicated party stalwart, a steadfast supporter of good governance, and a man whose contributions strengthened political institutions across Lagos State. He further highlighted Osiyemi’s distinguished professional journey as a journalist and former Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor Lateef Jakande, noting his unwavering commitment, discipline, and exemplary service.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Hon. Razaq Olushola Ajala, Hon. Lekan Fatodu, APC LCDA Party Chairman Hon. Ismail Babatunde Kazeem, LGA executives, and members of the deceased’s family.

The visit underscored the deep respect and admiration Prince Bayo Osiyemi commanded across political, professional, and community circles. Dignitaries used the occasion to pay tribute to a man remembered for his integrity, influence, and lifelong dedication to public service.
