“I Rejected N864m”, Policeman ‘Who Never Took Bribe’ Resigns Over Non-Promotion
CSP Francis Osagie Erhabor, the policeman and divisional police officer (DPO) in charge of ‘D’ division Itam in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, who is acclaimed to have never taken a bribe since over 30 years in active service, has resigned from the profession.
CSP. Francis Osagie Erhabor was born on 17th April, 1972 in Lagos to the family of George/Comfort Erhabor. Hails from Igueben LGA of Edo State.
Attended Airforce Primary School Victoria Island Lagos, before proceeding to Command Day Secondary school, Ikeja Military Cantonment Lagos.
After his WASC in 1988, was admitted into the Nigeria Police Academy, Challawa Kano. On graduating, furthered his study, and obtained a Bsc. In Political Science from Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto 1997; and an Msc. In Public Administration, University of Benin 2010.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Administration(MCIA), as well as a Fellow with the Chartered Institute of Corporate Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria (CICMCN).
CSP. Francis Osagie Erhabor was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Inspector on 2nd April 1990. Has served for over 30yrs in various capacities, notably, as a second in command Police Public Relations Officer; Pioneer SARS Operative; Trainer/Instructor at the prestigious Police Mobile Training Camp Gwoza Borno; Unit Commander; and Second In Command Squadron Commander in various Police Mobile Squadrons namely Edo, Akwa Ibom, and Enugu State respectively. He is currently the Divisional Police Officer D Division, Itam Uyo.
He was awarded the prestigious integrity Icon award by Youth Alive Foundation in collaboration with UKAID/DFID 2018; Exceptional Star Mentor Award by Chartered institute of Corporate Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria(CICMCN) 2019; FIDA Champion Award by FIDA Akwa Ibom State Chapter 2019; integrity icon award by Accountability Lab Nigeria 2019, as well as other awards from churches and other organisations. Just recently, he was awarded by the President, his excellency President Mohammed Buhari with the Federal Government of Nigeria Integrity in Public Service award, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission(ICPC) on 28th September, 2020.
CSP. Francis Osagie Erhabor is happily married to Mrs. Helen Ngozichukwuka Erhabor, and they are blessed with children. He is by God’s grace a Preacher/Pastor at Insight Bible Church Nsikak Eduok Uyo, and loves God.
