The Executive Chairman Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, Hon Fuad Atanda-Lawal is leaving no stone unturned as he has embarked on aggressive drainage desilting for a free flowing drainage in order to avert flood and blockages in the forthcoming raining season. The exercise which lasted for a week cut across Ribadu Road and Okotie-Eboh Road.

Fuad taking cognisance with havoc which silted and blocked drainage could cause to human, properties and materials safety gave this exercises utmost priority as it will also reduce health hazard, i.e. breeding of mosquito that causes malaria, bacteria, molds and mildew in stagnant and blocked drainage.

Poor drainage system can lead to proliferation of mold and pest , deterioration of health , unpleasant smell in the environment and most importantly serious floods during the raining season and this could lead to difficult vehicular movement which would create heavy traffic and standstill in the local government area.
