‘Igboho filed for asylum before arrest’

Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemi aka Sunday Igboho actually filed for asylum in Benin Republic one week before he was arrested, a source close to him has confided.

Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemi aka Sunday Igboho actually filed for asylum in Benin Republic one week before he was arrested, a source close to him has confided.

Igboho, who is facing trial for alleged immigration-related charges in Cotonou, was arrested mid-July in the neighbouring West African country

The revelation came as Igboho’s asylum application is reportedly seen as a factor that may change the entire trial of the agitator in Benin Republic.
