Iba LCDA hosts National Council for Women’s Societies Nigeria monthly meeting

The National Council for Women’s Societies, also known by its acronym (NCWS), is a Nigerian non-governmental and non-partisan women’s organization composed of a network of independent women organizations in Nigeria binding together to use NCWS’ platform to advocate gender welfare issues to the government and society.

The National Council for Women’s Societies, Nigeria, OJO chapter which comprises of women in Iba LCDA, Oto-Awori LCDA and Ojo LGA held it’s monthly meeting at Iba LCDA.

The meeting hosted by the Chairperson of Iba LCDA Mrs Yisa Folashade on Thursday 17th February 2022 at the Chairman’s Conference room.

The welcome address was done by Mrs Ayodele Giwa the National President, Ojo Chapter who admonished and encouraged the member of the Council to be devoted, active, prepare the mind of the other Executive members and members on the forthcoming National Convention in Abuja.

In attendance were the Chairperson of the Oto- Awori LCDA Mrs I.S Ashafa, Mrs Bola Keshinro, Mrs Idowu Mojisola (HOD WAPA), Mrs Ayodele Kehinde, and all other prominent members of the Council from OJO LGA, IBA LCDA and OTO-AWORI LCDA.

Mrs I.S Ashafa while addressing the Council members informed them about the report of the state Executives on the formation of NCWS Youth Forum.

The arrival of the Council Chairman Hon. Yisa Abiola accompanied by the Council Manager Mr Jelili Jimoh, lightened up the meeting with great fanfare.

The Council Chairman appreciated the National Council for Women’s Societies, Nigeria, and welcome them to Iba LCDA as was their first meeting since he had been elected as the Chairman of Iba LCDA.

He promised to give them all the necessary support and resources needed in other to grow and stabilize the National Council of women Society, Nigeria, for it to meet it’s stipulated objectives and deserved recognition.

The Chairperson of Iba LCDA Mrs Yisa Folashade in her remarks appreciated the National Council Of Women’s Societies, Nigeria and also gave kudos to the Executive Chairman for his support and encouragement and for always identifying with and supporting all women and female initiatives/programs.
