The Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has vowed to ignore threats by some Yoruba agitators demanding for Oduduwa Nation.

Alake who spoke on Monday at the commissioning of a pharmaceutical building named after him at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta said although his comment was misinterpreted but he would never support anarchy and chaos as traditional ruler.

Alake was attacked for not supporting their agitation on the alleged calls for secession from Nigeria and form Oduduwa nation.

Two of the aides of popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo otherwise known as Sunday Igboho had during the weekend made some video clips attacking the monarch claiming that he made some comments against their agitation .

The agitators who called the monarch some unprinted names, threatened to storm his palace any moment.

One of Igboho aides in the video clip threatened that the Oduduwa agitators would soon attack the monarch in his palace and others who do not support their agitation for going against the freedom of Yoruba.

Alake added that he would not join issues with the yoruba youths agitating for ‘disunity’ of the country.

He said “I told the Road Transport union that came to my palace, that their union used to be known for causing quarrels at motor parks, that they should maintain peace and look for the progress of this country.

“I as a traditional ruler cannot support chaos or anarchy and most of many things I do are to promote peace, progress and mostly the happiness of all my people.
