Hon. Samson Olatunde inaugurates Olorunda Legislative Council, Hon. Ariwayo Christian emerges as Leader

The fifth session of the legislative arm of Olorunda LCDA was sworn in today under the proclamation and declaration by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde at the council Secretariat, Iworo, Lagos State.

While delivering the keynote address, the Council Chairman stressed the need for members of the legislative arm to be up and doing in discharging their legislative duties. He also pointed out the fact that they have been elected to formulate laws that will engender sound developments in the LCDA.

Members of the legislative arm sworn in today are;

•Hon. Awotunde Idowu Sunkanmi – Ward A.

•Hon. Nurudeen Mojeed – Ward B.

•Hon. Tudonu Moses -Ward C.

•Hon. Shatin Gbeleyi – Ward D.

•Hon. Christian Ariwayo – Ward E.

Immediately after the official swearing-in of the legislative members, the convergence proceeded to the legislative chamber where the Executive Chairman made an official proclamation for the commencement of legislative proceedings by the 5th session of the Legislative arm of the Council.

The legislative members thereafter, commenced their first sitting with the election of officers of the arm.

Hon. Ariwayo Christian (Ward E) emerged as the Leader of The House, Hon. Moses Tudonu (Ward C) emerged as Deputy Leader of the House, Hon. Mojeed Nurudeen (Ward emerged as the house Majority Leader while Hon. Shatin Gbeleyi emerged as the Chief-whip of the house.

Also present at today’s event were: Hon. Monsuru Ogungbemi, Vice Chairman, Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Alhaji (Prince) Ade Balogun, APC-LGA Chairman, Olorunda LCDA, Mrs. Oluwakemi Olatunde, Wife of the Executive Chairman, various political leaders and Civil service officials.
