The Lawmaker representing Ikeja Constituency 2 at Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu has expressed shock and disbelief over the demise of Onigbongbo LCDA Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Friancis Oke.
In a brief statement this morning, Hon. Kasunmu described Oke’s death as a huge loss to the Progressives family, not only in Ikeja Federal Constituency but also in Lagos State at large.
Hon. ARK described the late Oke as “an astute politician and a man with an uncommon humility and a good heart whose main priority was providing good leadership to his people”.He said “it was indeed a sad loss, but God knows better”.
“On behalf of the people of Ikeja Constituency 2, I want to seize this opportunity to express our heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of late Hon. Babatunde Oke, his close friends, Staff and political associates, the entire people of Onigbongbo LCDA, Ikeja and Lagos State chapters of the All Progressives Congress over this sudden loss”.
Hon. Kasunmu stated that the Council Chairman laboured very hard to bring good governance and dividends of Democracy to his people and added that history will be very kind to him”.
He also prayed to God to strengthen the family and grant him eternal rest.It was indeed a sad loss.
