2023 Presidency: GNAT strategises to mobilise grassroots support for Tinubu

The former political office holders under the aegis of the Grassroots Network for Asiwaju Tinubu (GNAT) has commenced mobilisation for the presidential aspiration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

GNAT members which include serving and former local government chairmen and their vice, secretaries to the local government, councillors, supervisors, special advisers, special assistants and other political appointees at the local government level across the country assembled at the Oranmiyan Hall of the Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos for the inaugural meeting.

A party chieftain from Kano State, Abdullahi Tanko Yakassai, asserted that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is the answer to the myriad of problems confronting the country.

He advised members of the group to go back to the grassroots to mobilise and secure the commitment of the people towards Tinubu’s bid for the presidency.

GNAT leader Abiodun Mafe, who spoke at the lunch of the group in Lagos, said the foot soldiers cannot afford to be ingrate to the former Lagos governor, who played a great role in their rise to prominence.

Former Bariga Council chairman Omoyele Suleiman, the convener of the meeting said “We will travel round the nooks and crannies of Nigeria to mobilise for Asiwaju to realise his dream of a greater Nigeria that works.”

The erstwhile Chairman Ejigbo LCDA and immediate past Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Kehinde Bamigbetan also stated that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu have an intimidating profile and experiences required to administer Nigeria to the next level. He noted that the National Leader of the ruling party have the midas-touch of turning things around for good that Asiwaju Tinubu should be allowed to replicate the successes recorded under his administration in Lagos State to Nigeria come 2023.

The former Chairman Amuwo-Odofin and recently elected Organizing Secretary of the APC Lagos State, Hon Ayodele Adewale appreciated the efforts of the committed leadership and members of the organization, he averred that “we are core people of like minds coming together, we have been working relentlessly to make sure this day come to live. All our friends that have come from the north, the east, the south-south and the west we come together, we put head together and energies together for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the special grace of God to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come May 29, 2023”.

He urged all members of GNAT to be steadfast and ready for person to person canvassing to actualize the presidential ambition of the former Senator who recent alerted President Muhammadu Buhari of his intent to contest for the nation’s number one political position.

Former All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship aspirant in Anambra State Rommy Okoli described Tinubu as a gift to Nigeria, whose benevolence cuts across the six geo-political zones.

Delegates from the 57 LGs and LCDAs in Lagos State and other states attended the event.
