As part of his constituency initiatives, Rt. Hon James Abiodun Faleke, Honourable Member of the House of Representatives for Ikeja Federal Constituency, is hosting a free medical outreach on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The complimentary medical services will commence at 10:00 AM on Friday, 25th October 2024, from Onigbongbo LCDA at the Palace of Oba Onigbongbo.
Ademola Banjo, Personal Aide to the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, disclosed in a telephone conversation with Lagos Panorama that women and the elderly will receive priority consideration among the beneficiaries of the medical outreach, courtesy of the esteemed federal lawmaker, RT Hon Faleke, who will also provide free food palliatives.
Banjo confirmed that the 3-day medical outreach will move to Ikeja Local Government on Saturday, 26th October 2024, and be situated at the front of Central Mosque, Isale Awori, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, starting at 10:00 am.
The programme concludes on Sunday, 27th October 2024, at the Palace of Oba Aguda, Kokumo Street, Aguda, Ojodu LCDA, with a 10:00 AM start.
Lagos Panorama reported in September 2023 that RT Hon Faleke facilitated the second edition of Faleke’s Integrated Medical Outreach, partnering with Doctors on the Move Africa, resulting in the treatment of over three thousand patients from Ikeja Federal Constituency’s 18 wards for conditions such as fibroid, hernia, appendicitis, blood pressure, pregnancy complications, prostate issues, and various eye complications, with over 350 major surgical procedures conducted successfully.
Medical treatments offered include dental services such as check-ups, cleaning, whitening, and extractions, as well as Malaria testing and medication.
Additional services comprise diabetes testing and medication, H-Pylori (ulcer) testing and treatment, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) evaluations and medication, and Typhoid testing and medication.
Professional counseling services encompass hepatitis B testing, arthritis evaluation, medication guidance, physiotherapy (including massage), and treatment plans for multiple other health issues.
