Ejigbo Council Chairman Obe Presents CDC, NULGE Bus

In fulfillment of his campaign promises and in a bid to further develop Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, the Executive Chairman, Alh. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE), has presented official buses to the Community Development Committee (CDC) and the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ejigbo Branch.

UNVEILS NEWLY BRANDED REVENUE UNIFORM

In fulfillment of his campaign promises and in a bid to further develop Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, the Executive Chairman, Alh. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE), has presented official buses to the Community Development Committee (CDC) and the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ejigbo Branch.

The presentation of the 18- seater Toyota Hummer Buses was done during the Ejigbo Community Love Day Celebration, held at the Council Secretariat, today Thursday March 24th, 2022.

OBE had promised to buy and present these buses since his  first tenure as Executive Chairman of the Local Council. He had also reiterated the promise during the campaign for his second tenure. Popularly referred to as Mr. Talk-and-do, OBE has thus fulfilled the promise.

The CDC Bus was presented to the CDC Chairman, Prince Jelili Atiku, by the former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State, and former Executive Chairman of the Local Council, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan. And the Chairman, Community Development Advisory Council (CDAC), Alh. Azeez Aremu Amusat. It was then commissioned by OBE.

The NULGE bus was presented to the Ejigbo NULGE Chairman, Comr. Sadiq Lawal, by the Member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi/Isolo Consistuency II, Hon. Jude Idimogu.

Also at the event, the newly branded uniform of the revenue officers was presented to the community. The official shirt to be worn by the revenue officers has now been changed from white to blue. The Executive Chairman has therefore warned that revenue officers should only be attended to by people in the community when they are on their official uniform. He also stated that the department of Waste and Sanitation with their white and brown uniform do collect revenue on behalf of the LCDA. He added that if any members of the community sees anyone apart from these two he mentioned collecting revenue on behalf of the Council, they report immediately to the appropriate quarter. The people have also been encouraged to be law abiding and pay their tax and rates regularly and promptly.

Furthermore, the Ejigbo Community Love Day Celebration featured the presentation of Excellence Awards to twelve (12) deserving members of the community, whose efforts in community development have been outstanding.

The award recepients are: Alh. Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello (OBE), Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan (KOK), Alh. Azeez Aremu Amusat, Alh. (Mrs.) Sherifah Lolade Ewumi-Dosumu, Princess (Mrs.) Iyabode Ogunyemi, Mrs. Olayinka Oluwatoyin Adeko, Alhaji Nuraini Aremu Shontan, Engr. Joseph  Kayode Akintujoye, Mrs. Kola Taoreed Bankole, Chief (Amb.) Nicholas Emenike Njoku, Mrs. Kofoworola Adeyemi and Abdulazeez Abiodun Yekini. The “Ejigbo Community Champion for the Year 2021′, Mrs. Blessing Appiah, was also recognized due to her informal contribution to the economy of Ejigbo..

The Ejigbo Community Love Day Celebration, is a day set aside to showcase what the community is built on, which is LOVE. It is a day aimed at strengthening the love, kinship, communal goal/development and happiness amongst the people of Ejigbo. This is the second time this day with be celebrated in Ejigbo under the leadership of OBE. Today, the event also witnessed the Launching of the CDC 2022 Calendar and Exchange of gifts.
