Ejigbadero Lists Major Achievements in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA Within 10 Months

The Executive Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Abiodun Jimoh Ejigbadero, has highlighted key achievements recorded by his administration between July 27, 2025 and May 14, 2026.

According to the council boss, the administration has made significant progress in revenue generation, staff welfare, education, healthcare delivery, and environmental sanitation across the LCDA.

On internally generated revenue (IGR), the chairman disclosed that the council successfully rejigged its revenue structures and personnel, leading to a notable increase in revenue generation.

In the area of staff welfare, the administration sponsored junior and management staff to various trainings, workshops, seminars, and professional conferences aimed at improving productivity and efficiency. The council also procured a utility bus for members of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), as well as revenue buses for officials across the three area offices of the council. Regular festive cash bonuses were equally paid to both pensionable and non-pensionable staff.

As part of efforts to support education, the council provided free GCE forms to 500 indigent students and free UTME (JAMB) forms to 300 indigent students across the seven wards of the LCDA. Temporary learning sheds were also provided for pupils of African Church Primary School, Kola-Alagbado, pending the reconstruction of their dilapidated classrooms by the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB).

In the health sector, Mayor Ejigbadero said his administration carried out an inspection tour of all 14 primary healthcare centres in the LCDA shortly after assuming office to identify challenges and improve healthcare delivery. The council also procured a state-of-the-art ambulance, distributed free drugs at major health centres, and provided free eyeglasses and medical services to residents during the commemoration of the administration’s first 100 days in office.

Speaking on environmental sanitation, the chairman noted that the council inaugurated the Agbado Oke-Odo Clean-Up Task Force to combat indiscriminate dumping of refuse in unauthorized locations. He stated that the initiative has greatly improved environmental cleanliness and waste management across the LCDA.

Mayor Ejigbadero reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering people-oriented projects and improving the welfare of residents in Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA.
