EID-EL-FITRI 2026: AKOD GREETS MUSLIMS, URGES UNITY AND RESPONSIBLE CELEBRATION

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Ikeja and Lagos State on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In his goodwill message, the council boss congratulated the Muslim Ummah for their devotion, sacrifice, and steadfastness throughout the fasting period, noting that the spiritual discipline observed during Ramadan reflects enduring values of faith, patience, and selflessness.

On behalf of the people of Ikeja Local Government, AKOD wished residents a peaceful and joyous celebration, praying that the blessings of the season bring happiness, prosperity, and renewed hope to every home.

He described Eid-el-Fitri as a period of reflection, gratitude, and togetherness, urging residents to strengthen the bonds of unity, compassion, and love within the community.

“As we celebrate, I encourage all residents to uphold these values and continue to work collectively towards the growth and development of Ikeja,” he stated.

The chairman also prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the prayers and sacrifices offered during Ramadan and grants continued peace, harmony, and progress to Ikeja Local Government, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large.

He further advised residents to celebrate responsibly and extend acts of kindness to the less privileged, in line with the true spirit of the season.
