Following the crisis surrounding the stool of the Olubadan, 10 out of the 11 Olubadan in council have endorsed the appointment of Lekan Balogun as the next ruler of the ancient city.
The Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja on Monday sentenced Olumuyiwa Teniola Idowu and his firm, Tennyvans Nigeria Limited, to a total of 30 years’ imprisonment for fraud involving $62,500 and €36,020.
A ministerial nominee, Bosun Tijani, has apologised over some tweets credited to him in the past. This is as he justified his nomination by President Bola Tinubu, clarifying that “I have no father or mother. I have no political godfather too. I appreciate being nominated on merit and the works that I have done.”
