On the 9th of January 2022, 537 new confirmed cases and 6 death were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 248312 cases have been confirmed, 218997 cases have been discharged and 3077 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 537 new cases are reported from 8 States- Rivers (313), Lagos (178), FCT (19), Kaduna (11), Gombe (6), Ogun (6), Ekiti (3) and Abia (1)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
