On the 17th of December 2021, 1584 new confirmed cases and 1 death were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 222655 cases have been confirmed, 211373 cases have been discharged and 2984 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 1584 new cases are reported from 11 States Lagos (906), FCT (258), Rivers (217), Edo (85), Oyo (50), Ogun (16), Ondo (14), Bayelsa (12), Osun (10), Bauchi (9), and Kano (7)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
