The Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) West Africa on Saturday posted on the twitter handle @CDD WESTAfrica that West Africa have recorded a total of 1,457 confirmed positive cases, with 211 patients discharged and 40 death from the coronavirus (COVID-19)’

#Covid19 update in #WestAfrica: As at 12:00pm 4th April 2020, the region has recorded at least 1,457 confirmed cases, 211 persons have been discharged and 40 fatalities have also been recorded.
