Coronavirus Update: NCDC confirms 627 cases in Nigeria as at 9th April 2020

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 86 new coronavirus cases in the country as at 19th April, Sunday late night.

Eighty-six new cases of #COVID19 have been reported: 70 in Lagos, 7 in FCT, 3 in Katsina, 3 in Akwa Ibom, 1 in Jigawa, 1 in Bauchi and 1 in Borno,” @NCDCgov tweeted on the commission’s handle.

The new cases increase Nigeria’s sum up number of confirmed infections in the country to 627.

NCDC said the total number of fatalities recorded from the virus in Nigeria has increased to 21 while 170 have been discharged.
