Coronavirus: Lagos Discharges 31 Recovered Patients on Sunday

Lagos State has discharged 21 coronavirus patients.

It said in a statement signed by the Incident Commander and Governor of Lagos state, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

He stated that; Good people of Lagos, 21 COVID19 Lagos patients; 6 females and 15 males, including a foreign national have been discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

The patients; 6 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba,  11 from Onikan, 3 from Agidingbi and 1 from Gbagada Isolation Centres were discharged today having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19.

This brings to 875, the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos.

However, the state also recorded three more COVID-19 fatalities, according to the state Health Ministry on Saturday.

“3 additional COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Lagos bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 50,” Lagos State Ministry of Health tweeted.

Nigeria on Saturday confirmed 553 new cases of coronavirus. This is the highest number of COVID-19 recorded in a single day in Nigeria. Lagos, the most hit State by the coronavirus pandemic, recorded 378 new cases, while FCT had 52.
