CORONAVIRUS: Sanwo Olu sensitize councils on the prevention of the spread of COVID-19

Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu on Monday met with the 57 Council Chairmen with their respective Medical Officers for Health (MOH) and the 57 Chairmen of the Community Development Committees in Lagos State as part of the proactive measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The meeting took place at the Banquet hall of the Lagos House, Ikeja.

The Governor who also posted on his Facebook wall stated that “I am happy to inform Lagosians that two more foreigners from a high-risk country in Asia tested negative”.

“As a government, our focus is to ensure we don’t record any loss of life to the virus”.

“My administration places premium value on human life, which is why we upgraded the facilities at our bio-security centre and Infectious Disease Hospital to stop the spread of the virus”.

“We will achieve great results if people at the grassroots are properly sensitized on how to protect their communities from the virus and other contagious diseases”.

“We cannot do it alone. It requires the cooperation of everybody living in Lagos to stop the spread of the virus” the Governor averred.

Meanwhile invitations had been dispatched through the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy to all the Community Development Associations (CDA) in Lagos State and other stakeholders for another sensitization meeting on the management and control of the COVID-19 scheduled for 9am at the LTV Blue-Roof.
