Civic Champion Honoured: Governor’s Aide, Dr. Tajudeen, Becomes Patron Of Golden Group

In recognition of his exceptional advocacy for civic engagement and dedicated public service, Dr. Afolabi Abiodun Tajudeen, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement, has been named the Patron of the esteemed Golden Group of Lagos.

The investiture, a testament to Dr. Tajudeen’s impactful contributions, took place recently in his Office at the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja. The event signifies a strengthened alliance between the Lagos State Government and a leading civic organisation committed to community empowerment.

Dr. Tajudeen, accepting the honour, reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Lagos and pledged that his office would continue to operate in alignment with the government’s core objectives and developmental agenda.

“While it may sound familiar, the principle holds true: this recognition fuels a greater dedication to our work,” he stated. “We will not become complacent. Instead, this honour will serve as a powerful motivator to achieve even greater impact. I extend my sincere gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for his consistent support.”

Earlier, Hon. Abiola Afikuyomi, Founder of the Golden Group of Lagos, emphasised Dr. Tajudeen’s unwavering support for civic bodies and his crucial role in empowering Lagos residents through diverse initiatives. He also conveyed the group’s deep appreciation for the Lagos State Government’s continuous Financial Assistance Programme, highlighting its vital role in enhancing their community service efforts.

The investiture ceremony was graced by the presence of key figures, including the Permanent Secretary of the Office, Engr. Sholabomi Shasore, alongside top executives of the Golden Group and senior management staff from the Special Adviser’s office, underscored the collaborative spirit driving progress in Lagos State.
