The Executive Chairman Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Hon. Bolaji Muse Ariyoh on Friday 17th July put smile on the faces of six Teachers of Private schools that came to his office for financial assistance through the office of Secretary to the Local Government Hon. Taoheed Abiola.
According to one of visiting teacher Ezekiel Daisi, ” since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic , our source of livelihood has been shut temporarily”.
“We are out of job and have family to cater for , we seek for financial assistance or palliatives from our honourable chairman “
Their request was expressly granted by the chairman Hon. Idris Bolaji Ariyoh and Hon.Taoheed Abiola was directed to give each of them a sum of Ten thousand naira (#10,000 ).
While handing over the cash to them Hon.Taoheed Abiola sympathized with all teachers in private schools for what they are going through and emphasized that welfare of the people is one of the cardinal focus of Hon. Bolaji Muse Ariyoh .
” My Chairman feels the pains of not only you that are present here but all the teachers in private establishments and speedily he has approved ten thousand naira each for you and hope soonest we shall get over this COVID-19 pandemic which has changed our ways of life”
Speaking on behalf of the six private teachers, Ezekiel Daisi thanked the Local Government Chairman and said they were stunned by the quick response from the Local Government and was full of appreciation for the kind gesture of the Chairman.
