Bamigboye charges management to brace up for future tasks as budget 2023 retreat ends in Ibadan

As the cabinet members and entire management staff of Mushin Local Government draw the curtain on 2023 budget retreat, the Executive Chairman – Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, tasked his team to brace up for more tasks ahead, as his administration is prepared to take Mushin to another level of development.

The chairman while presenting his closing remarks at the retreat, challenged members of management to be more dedicated, focussed and committed to their course of duty.

Hon. Bamigboye raised some of the disparities he observed which could serve as impediments against quality service delivery and actualization of the proposed ” TURN AROUND” of the 2023 fiscal plan for the people of Mushin Local Government.

In a fatherly and sermonised speech, the chairman implored both the political office holders and civil servants to work harmoniously, selflessly and cooperate with one another, without sentiment, in order to deliver the dividends of governance and democracy to the people.

The council boss preached the gospel of love and unity among all the political office holders, management and staff. He implored all the departments to work together as a family and ensure that individual interest doesn’t jeopardise collective goals.

In his speech, the Council Manager – Mr. Sogo Osikoya, commended the chairman for his passion and drive to propel development and motivate human resource to achieve his vision for the people of Mushin Local Government. The comrade appreciated Hon. Bamigboyet while he described him as a man with listening ear and large heart.

After all the departments presented their financial projections for year 2023, the chairman with his panel, comprising the Vice chairman – Hon. Tunbosun Aruwe, House Leader (also chairman House Committee on Finance) – Hon. Olamide Williams, Council Secretary – Mrs. Olubunmi Gbadamosi, Council Manager – Mr. Sogo Osikoya and Council Treasurer – Mrs. Oluwatoyin Suarau, all carried out scrutiny and assessment, of 2022 performance and need for the proposed figures for 2023, before finally considering the documents being presented by each department.

Before the retreat was finally rounded off, the chairman celebrated the Medical Officer of Health/HoD Health Department – Dr Kayode Odufuwa, who clocked a year older.

The entire house celebrated him wth a birthday cake presented in his honour and prayers offered for him by the council secretary.

The retreat was concluded with a gala night, which gave an open floor for all the participants, to dine and wine together. The member representing Mushin Constituency 01 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Nureni Akinsanya, also joined in the gala night as every member of the management with the chairman and the councillors, all had refreshing moments.
