The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Mr. Ibrahim Adejuwon Odumboni, has bagged the Lagos Panorama Distinguished Waste Management Award, the second in the series.
The award was presented at the launch of the Adopt-a-Bin programme at Simpson Transfer Loading Station on Lagos Island, by the Chairman of the House Committee for the Environment, Lagos State House of Assembly, LSHA, Hon. Desmond Olusola Elliot, who congratulated Odumboni for the well deserved prestigious Lagos Panorama award.
The surprised but elated LAWMA Boss expressed his gratitude for the award and noted that the recognition will spur him and his team to strive more in achieving the THEMES Agenda for a cleaner and greater Lagos.
The Publisher/Editor Lagos Panorama in his opening remark averred that LAWMA under the leadership of Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni had performed exemplary with novel and pragmatic innovations in sustainable waste management across the state.
Aderinola noted that “the performance of LAWMA in 2021 is quite commendable and deserves recognition and encouragement”.

The Editorial Board of the widely read sociopolitical magazine and online news platform in their effort to promote the universal Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) decided to recognize and award dedication and zeal by outstanding individuals and organizations in a series of awards to celebrate excellence by trailblazers in aspects of grass-root sustainable development.
