The All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Chapter has congratulated all members of the party in the state after a successful ward congress across the state on Saturday.
The party’s Lagos Spokesperson Hon Seye Oladejo in a press release made available to Lagos Panorama said “We want to congratulate our members for success of the long-awaited ward congress of our party”.
Oladejo further stated that “We’re delighted that it was devoid of any ugly incident as the consensus arrangement as provided for by our constitution, encouraged by the national headquarters and endorsed by the large majority of the leadership and membership of Lagos State APC was affirmed at the various venues of the ward congress across the state as witnessed by INEC , security agencies and other stakeholders”.
“The success of the congress will no doubt reposition our party and promote unity of purpose as we look forward to the State Congresses and the National Convention” he averred.
The Ward Congress monitored in Ward A, D, C, E and H in Ikeja Federal Constituency by our Correspondent were peaceful and reflected the resolution of the party’s stakeholders for consensus executive.
The LGA Chairman of the Caretaker Committee for Ikeja, Alhaji Dally Adeokun, also expressed his appreciation to party members for their resolution and a peaceful consensus process in electing the party executives.
“Today’s Ward Congress is a true reflection that the party leadership and members have a common goal as a progressive party” Alhaji Adeokun alluded
There was light security presence in most of the venues of the exercise, as men and officers of Nigeria Police, Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, among others provided adequate protection of lives and property, as well as maintenance of law and order.
