Alimosho LG swears – in secretary to the LG, Supervisors and Special Advisers

The Executive Chairman Alimosho LG Hon Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has called on the newly sworn -in SLG,Supervisors and Special Advisers to shun politics and settle for the good governance in Alimosho LG.You are the members of the Executive Council of Alimosho LG, with the Vice- Chairman and other Council Officials.The good people of Alimosho LG look forward to seeing progress, development and peace,which are our primary responsibilies.

Jelili said, “it is apparent that the appointees emerged from various cacuses within the APC ,all the divisions we brought here should be set aside, we need to settle down for governance,, we have no excuse not to perform to the admiration of the citizenry.

The appointees were sworn- in  before the Chairman after  the Legislative Council had declared them to be fit and qualified during the Screening  exercise that took place at the Legislative Chamber.

Those swore- in were the Secretary to the LG Mr Dare Ogunkoya,Ademola Abolade,Isaac Olaniyi,Adegoke Sosanya,Killington  Justus,Idowu Gbenga Sunday,Adesua Omoruyi,Idowu Adedoyin,Orodele Opeyemi,Adekunle Lawal and Adebowale Adeshanu

The occasion was witnessed by the Vice Chairman Hon.Johnson Akinpelu, Council Manager Emmanuel Babatunde Akinbami, Council Treasurer Babatunde Olugbuyi,APC Mrs Chairman Mr Tosin Fatoki, Legal Officer Mrs Adebimpe Awotunga and her assistant  Mrs Tinuke Oguntade and the Public Affairs Officer Olusegun Akinyemi

Update on Gerrard road building collapse

The identification of bodies of the victims of the Ikoyi building collapse has continued at the IDH, Yaba, Lagos Mainland. Twenty-nine families have come forward to submit samples for DNA to identify bodies that they wish to claim. In cases where identification is clear and there are no arguments, the bodies will be released to the families as from this week.
