AKOD Joins Hamzat for Juma’at, Honors Late Jafojo at 10th Memorial

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), on Friday joined the Deputy Governor of Lagos State Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat at the Ikeja Central Mosque for the weekly Juma’at prayers.

The gathering also featured a special prayer session marking the 10th remembrance of the late Rafiu Bakare Jafojo. Clerics offered prayers for the repose of his soul, while reflecting on his enduring legacy of humility, integrity, and selfless service.

Speaking at the event, Chairman AKOD described the late Jafojo as a cornerstone of progressive politics in Lagos, noting that his contributions to governance continue to resonate years after his passing. He urged present-day leaders to draw inspiration from Jafojo’s exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to public service.

AKOD added that such commemorative gatherings help strengthen unity and reinforce shared values among leaders and citizens, reaffirming Ikeja Local Government’s commitment to the vision of the Lagos State Government in promoting peace, development, and collective prosperity.
