Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Dr. Agbaje described the initiative as a major step toward improving the effectiveness of the council’s legislative arm. He подчеркнул the vital roles of councillors in lawmaking, oversight, and representation, noting that their contributions are key to ensuring responsive and people-centered governance.

He explained that the vehicles are not just official assets, but practical tools to support councillors in carrying out their duties more efficiently. With improved mobility, lawmakers are expected to engage more closely with residents across wards and better address grassroots concerns.

The Chairman urged the beneficiaries to remain committed to their responsibilities with integrity and dedication, while also stressing the importance of synergy between the Executive and Legislative arms in driving sustainable development within the LCDA.

Responding on behalf of the Legislative Council, the Leader, Hon Farouk Bamidele, expressed appreciation for the gesture, affirming that the vehicles will enhance their legislative functions and boost effective representation.

Dignitaries present at the event included the Secretary to the Local Government, Prince Yusuf Ahmad; Council Manager, Mrs. Funmibi Bankole-Bawa; and Ayobo-Ipaja APC Chairman, Hon. Wole Aina, among others.
