Ojo Local Government holds stakeholders’ meeting on solid waste management

A critical stakeholders’ meeting aimed at proferring solution to issues affecting proper waste management practices was held between the Local Government Authority, LAWMA and Stakeholders   at Ojo Local Government Secretariat yesterday.

A critical stakeholders’ meeting aimed at proferring solution to issues affecting proper waste management practices was held between the Local Government Authority, LAWMA and Stakeholders   at Ojo Local Government Secretariat yesterday.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu (Mr.Project) was ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Edna Uche Ubochi.

The meeting was well attended and the issues bothering on cleaner environment in agreement with T.H.E.M.E.S AGENDA of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu was amicably resolved.

The forum also deliberated about imbibing efficient waste collection and disposal by the populace, encouragement of recycling and reuse of waste materials by the residents among other issues for mutual benefits.

The meeting was attended by the Supervisor for Environment and Waste Management, Hon. Joel Tudonu, former Executive Secretary and Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Lawal, Lagos, Lagos West LAWMA Director, District Head,Mrs. Tanwa  Oyekanmi. Assistant. General Manager, LAWMA,  Mrs. Bimbo Opayemi, District  Head, Lagos Central, Mr. Iris Olaseni, Others include, Head Environment and Waste Management, Ojo Local Government, Sanitarian Lookman kaffo, Community Development Committee Chairman, Alhaji Niyi Makinde, Head of Departments, Ojo Local Government and representatives of various Stakeholders.
