On the 12th of December 2021, 418 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria

Till date, 217481 cases have been confirmed, 207746 cases have been discharged and 2981 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory

The 418 new cases are reported from 12 States- Lagos (314), Ogun (27), Plateau (18), Edo (17), Enugu (11), Abia (8), Delta (7), Bayelsa (5), Kano (4), Rivers (4), Osun (2) and Oyo (1)

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities
