AKOD, Odunmbaku, Adebanjo Storm Bridge Commissioning, Hail Sanwo-Olu’s Infrastructure Drive

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), alongside his counterparts from Ojodu and Onigbongbo LCDAs, joined key government officials and stakeholders on Wednesday for the commissioning of the Opebi–Mende–Ojota Link Bridge—an important project set to boost connectivity and ease movement across Lagos State.

The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), alongside his counterparts from Ojodu and Onigbongbo LCDAs, joined key government officials and stakeholders on Wednesday for the commissioning of the Opebi–Mende–Ojota Link Bridge—an important project set to boost connectivity and ease movement across Lagos State.

The project was officially commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, represented by Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio. The event drew an array of dignitaries, including governors, party leaders, and residents from within and outside the state.

The bridge, delivered by the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, is expected to significantly enhance transportation efficiency and reinforce Lagos’ standing as a leading megacity.

Speaking at the event, Chairman AKOD praised Governor Sanwo-Olu for what he described as a landmark achievement, highlighting his consistent commitment to delivering impactful projects that improve the lives of Lagosians.

He also urged residents to take collective responsibility in preserving the infrastructure, stressing that sustainable development depends not only on government efforts but also on citizens’ cooperation. He further emphasized the need for prompt tax payment, noting that increased revenue remains vital for the execution of more people-centered projects across the state.
