The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, has fulfilled his promise to support the activities of the City Boy Movement, Ikeja Chapter, with the official handover of a vehicle to the movement.
The handover ceremony, held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, saw Comrade Dauda formally present the vehicle to the Ikeja Chapter Coordinator, Mr Desmond Okorejior Lawal.
The gesture is aimed at strengthening the movement’s operational capacity by facilitating the mobility of members and easing logistics for its activities, particularly during political campaigns, grassroots mobilisation and other engagements across Ikeja, Lagos State and beyond.
The occasion attracted several political leaders and dignitaries, including the APC LGA Chairman, Hon. Adebowale Adetoro; Executive Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore; Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Rasheed Ogunseye; Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Adeyinka Illo; alongside other party leaders, stakeholders and members of the movement.
In its response, the City Boy Movement, Ikeja Chapter, expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman for fulfilling his promise and demonstrating practical support for the movement.
The chapter noted that the vehicle would significantly enhance its coordination, outreach and mobilisation activities while reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment, participation and development.
The gesture further underscores the importance of collaboration and strategic support in strengthening grassroots engagement and advancing the objectives of the movement.
