President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has arrived in the United Kingdom for a two-day State Visit at the invitation of Their Majesties, King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The presidential aircraft landed at London Stansted Airport at exactly 3:18 p.m., where the President was received on behalf of the Royal Family by the Deputy Lieutenant of Essex, Mark Bevan. He was also welcomed by Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to the UK, Ambassador Mohammed Maidugu, alongside other senior government officials.
A delegation of Nigerian political leaders, including senators, governors, and ministers, was also present to receive the President at his hotel.
President Tinubu and the First Lady are scheduled to be hosted at Windsor Castle from Wednesday, March 18 to Thursday, March 19.
The visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral ties between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, while also opening up new investment opportunities for business communities in both countries.
